MY TRUSTED PARTNERS

Bridge for Billions
Bridge for Billions is a network of entrepreneurship programs. They design, build and manage many entrepreneurship programs with all kinds of organizations. I was involved in their 4 month, incubation OYA IDEA App 2021 Program as a mentor, where I helped a young entrepreneur develop their agribusiness project, through the program's methodology. The program concluded in May 2022 and I completed the program with a mentor certificate.Â
The most recent venture I worked with was mentoring on behalf of Bridge for Billions under the Restoration Factoring Program. The venture, Noma Green Plastics, based in Kenya, manufactures and sells fence poles from recycled plastic. We went through the program's online methodology tools, which included tools in Business Model and Marketing, Value Proposition, Financial Projections, Pricing just to name a few. I completed the program and attained a mentorship certificate.

SOMO Africa
SOMO Africa is a non-profit, empowering entrepreneurs to change the world. Somo is the root of a Swahili word meaning "lesson". I volunteered as an advisor at SOMO Africa (www.somoafrica.org), where I advised social entrepreneurs and helped them reach their business goals especially in their solar off-grid projects. One of my projects was for a solar cooler manufacturer, called KUZA Cooler Ltd,(kuzafreezer.com), where I consulted with the CEO on their Business Plan, a bit on their Marketing strategies and a Pitch Deck for investors. Through our consultations especially on the Pitch Deck, they were able to win a grant and establish a pilot for their latest solar powered freezer.
More recently, as a volunteer advisor for SOMO Africa, I also had the opportunity to work with two other entrepreneurs. I was able to provide 5-10 minute "mini" lectures on marketing and relevant topics, on a weekly basis. The lectures were followed up with notes on PowerPoint that they could review at anytime afterwards. I am currently awaiting to work with an entrepreneur under the SOMO Africa Mentorship Program.

My most recent mentee was based in Ethiopia and is the CEO of a startup healthcare tech company in Addis Ababa. We had virtual one-on-one consultation meetings, and we were able to develop a comprehensive business plan and a pitch deck for partners/investors. I contributed to assessing a corporate website and pitch deck to potential global partners/investors within the healthcare ecosystem.
